You may not have heard of Linux, however, it pretty much runs the internet and is probably running your smart home devices, smart TVs, your Android mobile phone and your internet router, to name but a few.

The beauty of Linux is that it is open source, free and generally requires a less powerful computer than the other common server and laptop operating systems.

Linux is provided as a range of different distributions, or 'distros'. These range from qutie simple and easy to set up to more sophisticated, feature rich versions.

The common distributions provide a user friendly graphical user interface along with all the workplace productivity tools for word processing, spread sheets and presentations that your business needs. These are open sournce, free and are able to read and write the files from the more common equivalents you have come to know and love.

In recent times people have found that older computers cannot be upgraded to run Windows 11. There is a very good chance that those computers will run a Linux version, so you can breath new life into an old computer or laptop and put it to work for you.
